Frequently Asked Questions
To help you better understand our services, here are answers to common questions about our end-to-end process—from prototype design to full-scale production.
Before Production: Design & Quotation
What files do I need for a quote?
Please provide your 3D CAD file (STEP or IGES preferred) and 2D drawings with critical dimensions and tolerances noted.
What does a quote from SINCERE include?
Our detailed quotes include part cost, tooling (if any), estimated lead time, material specification, and applicable surface finishes.
How long does quoting take?
Simple parts: 1-2 business days. Complex assemblies may take slightly longer. Urgent requests are prioritized.
Can you work from a sketch or idea?
Yes. We offer design for manufacturability (DFM) consulting services to help refine concepts into producible designs.
Do you offer free DFM feedback?
Yes, we provide complimentary initial DFM analysis with every quote to optimize your design for cost and performance.
What materials can you machine?
We machine a wide range: Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Brass, Copper, Titanium, Plastics, and various Engineering Alloys.
How can I reduce part cost?
Key factors: Design simplification, adjusting non-critical tolerances, selecting standard materials, and planning for higher volumes.
What’s your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Prototype MOQ is 1 piece. For production, we can discuss volumes from low to high, with cost benefits at higher quantities.
What are your standard lead times?
Prototypes: 1-3 weeks. Production: varies by volume and complexity. We always provide a target date with your quote.
Is my design data safe?
Absolutely. We sign NDAs and maintain strict IT security. Your IP is protected. Contact us at [email protected] to initiate an NDA.
Can you source materials for me?
Yes. We procure all certified raw materials, simplifying your supply chain and ensuring traceability.
What if I need a design change after quoting?
Simply send the updated files. We will promptly re-quote and highlight any impact on cost or lead time.
What information do you need for an assembly quote?
Please provide all component files, an assembly drawing, and specify any special instructions (e.g., adhesives, torque settings).
How do you handle design errors I might have missed?
Our engineering review will flag obvious manufacturability or potential performance issues for your approval before production.
What surface finishes are included in machining?
Standard as-machined finish is included. Specific finishes (anodizing, plating, painting) are quoted as secondary operations.
Can you match a color or finish sample?
Yes, we can match provided samples or Pantone codes for most anodizing and painting processes.
Who owns the design/tooling after production?
You retain full ownership of your part design. Any custom tooling we build for your project belongs to you.
How do I get started?
Email your files to [email protected] or message us on WhatsApp at +8613026807630 for a prompt consultation.
What’s the next step after I approve a quote?
We will send a formal Purchase Order (PO) for your approval. Upon receipt of your signed PO and any required deposit, we schedule your project into production.
During Production: Process & Quality
How do I track my order's progress?
We provide regular updates via your preferred channel (email/WhatsApp) at key milestones, and you can always request a status update.
What if a problem is found during machining?
We will immediately pause, inform you of the issue with photos/data, and propose solutions for your approval before proceeding.
Can I make a change after production has started?
Changes are possible but may impact cost and timeline. We will assess and provide a formal change order (ECO) for your approval.
What quality checks are performed?
We conduct in-process inspections and a final First Article Inspection (FAI) using precision tools like CMMs. Reports are available upon request.
What if my parts fail inspection?
Non-conforming parts are quarantined. We will analyze the root cause, inform you, and re-make the parts at our cost if the fault is ours.
How are parts protected during production?
Parts are handled with care, and critical surfaces are often protected to prevent scratches or damage during machining and assembly.
Can I visit to audit the production line?
Yes, client visits and audits are welcome by prior arrangement to ensure transparency and build confidence.
What if my project is delayed?
We proactively communicate any anticipated delays due to material or technical issues and work with you to adjust the timeline.
How do you ensure batch consistency?
We use standardized processes, qualified tooling, and statistical process control (SPC) methods to ensure consistency across production runs.
How are parts packaged for shipment?
We use appropriate, protective packaging (e.g., bubble wrap, foam, custom dividers) to ensure parts arrive undamaged. Special packaging is available.
After Production: Delivery & Support FAQs
How do you handle shipping?
We arrange reliable global logistics (DHL, FedEx, etc.) and provide tracking. We can also ship to your designated freight forwarder upon request.
What if parts are damaged upon arrival?
Please notify us within 3 days with photos. We will promptly investigate and arrange replacements or repairs at our cost if the damage is due to our packaging or shipment handling.
Do you keep my design files on record?
Yes, your project files are kept in secure, permanent archives. This allows for easy and fast re-orders in the future without resubmitting files.
What if I discover a problem after assembly?
Contact us immediately. We will work with you to investigate the issue. If it’s related to our manufacturing, we will provide a solution promptly.
Can you produce more if I need to modify the design?
Absolutely. Send us the updated design files. We will perform a new DFM analysis and provide a quote for the revised version, ensuring a seamless transition.
